Bob Lujano, 53 years old, a heart warming person in public, and also a very competitive athlete. He is very approachable when it comes to strangers, especially if it is from a child because he says “asking questions are how people learn.”

Do not help him without his consent because he can do most everything independently. He has been employed by the Lakeshore Foundation for 24 years and is currently an inclusion specialist for the National Center on Health Physical Activity and Disability (NCHPAD). He went to the Paralympics for wheelchair Rugby in Greece.

After his heart attack five years ago, he reevaluated his physical activity and nutrition. He is as active as ever, playing wheelchair rugby, tennis, basketball and more. Given that he is an information specialist, he has spoken with thousands of people over the past decade, and he has a lot to say.

He helps out with the Mindfulness, Exercise and Nutrition To Optimize Recovery and Resilience (MENTOR) program, making sure that people with disabilities get their questions answered. His Catholic Faith is part of his positive attitude. He married his wife Wendy 10 years ago and became a father and grandfather. As he says “At the end of the day, disability is part of the human condition.”
